Gokul Venkatachalam: 2015 Scripps National Spelling Bee Co-Champion
Spelling bees are usually associated with nerds, geeks, and smartie pants which are also known as the future. For some reason, this spelling bee caught everybody's attention. 14 year old Gokul Venkatachalam was crowed as the 2015 Scripps National Spelling Bee's co-champion. What makes this guy unique was his sneakers. He competed in the Legend Blue (Columbia) Air Jordan 11 and set Twitter on fire.

Apparently, this wasn't a fluke. Venkatachalam is a huge basketball fan and sneaker head. There are other photos of the kid competing in KD 6s and Jordans. This probably won't be the last time you hear his name. Here are some of the best tweets on the web:
